Marketers are often the great communicators. And one of those that they tend to work closely with are designers – these guys are the creative outlets for your core ideas!
I’m not at all a creative person but working together with a designer I can get my ideas imagined, often in ways exceeding what I had originally envisioned.
But an understanding is needed to communicate what I want and understand how a designer goes about their task. Whilst I’ll often leave the actual creative details to them, its important to understand how and what to communicate with them so that you can work together more efficiently and effectively.
I recently came across this great infographic (by Pagemodo) that outlines some of the really core terminology and concept that designers are working with.
